With more than 10 years in financial advice, Kane specialises in farm succession and intergenerational wealth — helping regional families and business owners plan how what they've built moves to the next generation. A fifth-generation sheep shearer from Yeo, he brings country roots, a financial planning degree and an MBA to some of the biggest decisions a family can make.
Kane Leersen is a Personal Financial Adviser and the Founder and Director of Regional Prosperity, with more than 10 years in the financial services industry. He specialises in farm succession and intergenerational wealth — helping regional families work out how land, businesses and savings move from one generation to the next, fairly and with everyone at the table.
Kane’s roots are in the country. As a fifth-generation sheep shearer from Yeo, he knows first-hand how seasonal incomes, family land and the next generation’s plans fit together — and, as he’ll tell you, few shearers also hold a financial planning degree from Deakin University and an MBA.
Before Regional Prosperity, Kane worked with Crowe Horwath and Income Solutions. Based in Colac, he works with clients across regional Victoria — at the office, around the kitchen table, out on the property, or online by video.
As Founder and Director, Kane wears many hats in the business and fosters a culture of energy and output. In 2026, Regional Prosperity was named Practice of the Year (3+ Advisers) by Personal Financial Services.
