John is a Provisional Financial Adviser at Regional Prosperity, completing his Professional Year under the supervision of the firm's senior advisers — bringing a strong grounding in commerce, economics and law to the more complex side of financial advice.
John is a Provisional Financial Adviser at Regional Prosperity, currently completing his Professional Year. Throughout this period he works closely with — and under the supervision of — senior adviser Traci Bartlett, contributing to client work while building the experience required for full authorisation. He doesn’t yet advise independently, and that supervised apprenticeship is exactly how good advisers are made.
His academic foundation is unusually broad. John holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning from Kaplan, and is currently completing a Bachelor of Laws at Deakin University. That blend of commerce, economics and law gives him a sharp eye for the more complex, multi-disciplinary problems that financial advice can throw up.
Methodical and detail-oriented, John is genuinely invested in getting the technical work right — and in learning the craft properly rather than rushing it. Outside the office, you’ll find him out bushwalking or fishing.
John is drawn to the situations where commerce, tax, structure and law overlap — the more involved cases that reward careful, joined-up thinking.
Commerce, economics and (in progress) law give John an unusually broad academic base to draw on as he develops as an adviser.
Through his Professional Year, John works alongside the firm's experienced advisers on real client work — building the judgement that complex advice demands.
